OC Marathon Running Festival

The OC Marathon Running Festival is a multi-day running event in Orange County, California, held every May. The festival includes a full marathon, a half marathon, a 5K and a Kids Run, plus weekend events such as a Lifestyle & Fitness Expo and the Celebrate OC Festival. The race course runs along coastal streets of Newport Beach, continues to the bayside of Costa Mesa and passes through neighborhoods of Santa Ana.

The event attracts runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes and has drawn large spectator crowds in past years. In recent editions the event recorded a 10% increase in overall attendance and welcomed more than 50,000 spectators across Orange County; one year saw 15,000 registered runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes. Nearly half of marathon participants in a recent year were completing their first 26.2 miles.

Key onsite elements include a finish line party and live music for some 5K and festival activities. The festival has been held since 2004 and typically presents multiple weekend activities for participants and attendees, including expo exhibits and community events.
