HOAG OC Marathon Running Festival
The HOAG OC Marathon is a weekend running festival held in Orange County every May. The event program includes multiple race distances, a multi-day Lifestyle & Fitness Expo, a Celebrate OC Festival, and a finish-line festival with entertainment.
The course runs along oceanfront streets in Newport Beach, continues to the bayside of Costa Mesa, and passes through neighborhoods of Santa Ana. A two-day Health and Fitness Expo is held at the OC Fair & Event Center on the Friday and Saturday of race weekend; the expo is free to the public and features running, health, and nutrition products.
The festival program includes community and youth efforts. The Hoag Kids Run the OC is supported by a 10 to 12 week program that promotes an active, healthy lifestyle for children. The OC 5K was added in 2025 and is scheduled as an evening event on the Saturday of race weekend. Hoag is listed as the title sponsor for the running festival.
For the 2026 edition the full marathon and half marathon are listed as sold out. The weekend offers a mix of endurance distances, family activities, and public expo programming in coastal Orange County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
