Hoag Kids Run The OC
The Hoag Kids Run The OC is a youth fitness initiative that concludes with a final event in Costa Mesa. This program focuses on promoting healthy habits and a consistent interest in physical activity among students through a structured training period.
The initiative consists of a 10 to 12 week program where participants accumulate more than 25 miles through various organized games and activities. These activities are led by volunteer coaches at participating schools. The program aims to help students build fitness and establish social connections with their peers throughout the training duration.
The final milestone of this program is the Kids Run Final Mile Event. This concluding run takes place during the first weekend in May at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa. For safety and organizational reasons, participation in this specific event is restricted to students from schools that are officially involved in the program and select coaches.
The registration categories available for this event include:
- KROC Participant: Open to children in grades K-8 who are 14 years old and under.
- KROC Coach: Reserved for volunteer coaches associated with the program.
Adults and parents who are not official volunteer coaches are not eligible to register for this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
