The Hero's Journey 5K
The Hero's Journey 5K is the fifth annual 5 kilometer run and walk presented by the 7/20 Foundation on July 25, 2026 in Aurora, Colorado. The course passes through Aurora City Center and the High Line canal trail with both the start and the finish located in the 7/20 Memorial Reflection Garden. The start line is placed across from the theater and the finish in the Reflection Garden to reflect the event theme of a journey from challenge to return.
The event offers multiple participation options and a youth distance:
- 5K for ages 21 and older
- 5K for participants under 21
- Virtual 5K
- Kids Fun Run, 1K
Registration for in person races opens March 11, 2026 and closes July 4, 2026; virtual 5K registration opens March 11, 2026 and closes July 25, 2026. Entry fees vary by category. For participants aged 21 and older, registration includes admission to the 7/20 Foundation annual beer festival.
