Event Information
The Hero's Journey 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado. It is the fifth annual event presented by the 7/20 Foundation.

The event offers four categories:
- 5K (21 and older)
- 5K Under 21
- Virtual 5K
- Kids Fun Run
Registration for the in-person events opens on March 11, 2026.
The Course
The 5 km route goes through Aurora's City Center and along the High Line Canal trail. The start and finish line is located at the 7/20 Memorial Reflection Garden. A course map is available via MapMyRun.
Additional Features
Participants aged 21 and over in the in-person 5K receive a complimentary wristband for admission to the 7/20 Foundation's annual beer festival. A free community event called the "7/20 Day of Resilience" is held after the race at the same location.
Purpose
The event is a fundraiser. All proceeds support the Zack Golditch Opportunity Scholarship, managed by the Aurora Public Schools Foundation, which aids local youth with post-secondary education. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
