Event

The Hebden 2026 is an organised off-road event on Saturday 17 January 2026, based at St Michaels Church Hall, Mytholmroyd, GB. The event is organised by 12th Halifax Sea Scouts. Entries are currently full and the event has a maximum of 500 entrants; once that limit is reached a waiting list opens. Transfers are allowed up to 31 December and no entry changes are permitted after 1 January. A maximum time of 9 hours will be enforced for completion.

Routes and requirements

The event offers two routes:

  • 22 miles
  • 15 miles

The long route includes over 4,000 feet of climbing. The shorter route has less ascent but is described as similarly demanding. The event is not suitable for beginners. Some navigational ability is required and entrants are advised to carry recommended kit and wear clothing appropriate for winter conditions. Under‑18s must be walking with an adult. Dogs are allowed on a short lead except inside the event HQ.

Logistics

Entry fee is £25.00 and includes refreshments at the start and en route, a meal at the finish and transport for retirees. Registration is at St Michaels Church Hall. Car parking is available at Mytholmroyd Community Centre (HX7 5DY, grid reference SE011259) and other locations; bus stops and a train station are close by.
