Event overview
The Heartland Hustle is a running event held in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, at Freeman Lake Park (Blue Heron Way, ZIP 42701). The course uses the park trails and the start and finish are located at the Lions Club Pavilion adjacent to the new playground. Packet pickup begins at 7:00 AM on race morning. Course maps are provided separately for the half marathon and the combined 5K/10K routes.

Logistics and features
Strollers are permitted and leashed, non-retractable pets are allowed on the course. Participant items listed for finishers include a custom race hat, a branded drawstring backpack, and a finisher’s medal. The event is professionally timed and posts results live. Organizers note that park access is best via the Old Freeman Lake Park Entrance. Proceeds from the event benefit Central Kentucky Athletics to support youth sports programs.
