Event
The HEART RUN takes place on February 14, 2026, at Bolsa Chica State Park, Lot 25 (17851 Pacific Coast Hwy), Huntington Beach, CA 92648. The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Kid's Dash: 200-yard Tot Trot and 600 yards (ages 4–11)
Course, awards and timing
The half marathon is permitted as two laps around Bolsa Chica State Park, proceeding to the Dog Beach and back for two full loops; the course is described as almost all flat and runs along the beach area. The 5K is an out-and-back with the turnaround near the Bolsa Chica State Beach main entrance. The race is chip timed by ITZ ABOUT TIME. Awards include 1st–3rd place age-group awards and top overall male/female trophies for the 5K and half marathon, with multiple age brackets listed up to the 90-plus category. All finishers receive a finisher medal; the half marathon entry includes a long-sleeve zip or pullover hoodie, and 5K entries include a shirt and a custom medal.
Practical information
Race-day bib and shirt pickup is at Lot 25. Public restrooms are at the far ends of Lot 25. Vehicles entering the state park should plan for a parking fee of $15 per car at the main gate; additional parking is available in Sunset Beach south of PCH behind the Jack in the Box with a short jog into Lot 25. The event features a festival expo with a make-your-own Valentine station, food voucher add-ons, vehicle test drives, and vendor booths. Proceeds support a foundation providing medical, schooling and livelihood assistance in Nepalese villages and other charitable activities.
