Event overview

The HEADCORN HALF MARATHON takes place on Sunday 15th February 2026. It is a UKA approved and correctly measured 13.1 mile road race that starts and finishes in Headcorn. The race is capped at 500 runners and entries have reached that figure every year since 2014. Chip timing is provided. Recorded course bests are Male 01:11:37 and Female 01:24:24. Race headquarters is at Headcorn Primary School, Kings Road, Headcorn, Kent TN27 9QT.

Course and logistics

The course runs on very quiet roads and passes local villages including Swifts Green, Smarden Bell, Egerton Forstal, Pembles Cross and Southernden before returning to Headcorn. Most of the course is fairly flat, with a small rise at about 5 miles and undulations between 8.5 and 10 miles. Marshalling, signage, medals and trophies are provided; trophies include team and age-group categories. Numbers and timing chips are not posted and must be collected at registration. Entry fees are listed at £23/£25, with on-the-day entries subject to capacity at £30 (cash only). Online entries close at 8 pm on the preceding Thursday and pre-race emails are sent within 48 hours.
