About the race
The Hateful 8 Ultra (the winter Edition) is an attempt to run a 9 mile route repeatedly within an eight hour time limit. The event is scheduled for 3 October 2026 at the Bridgend and District Model Engineering Society in Aberkenfig, Tondu, Bridgend, CF32 9BZ, Mid Glamorgan, United Kingdom.
The course is mixed terrain and includes a steep hill, a road section with notable views, and a downhill forestry trail that can be technical under some conditions. The route has significant elevation.
Entry was open until 26 July 2026 and fees listed in the event information included an entry only option at £50.00 and an entry with t shirt at £77.00. Age limits are 18 to 75 relative to the event date.
On event day the organisers provide car parking, toilet facilities, hot and cold drinks and snacks, a bespoke medal or trophy, a swag bag, an on site medical team, and volunteer staff. Volunteers at this and other events have been offered the opportunity to participate without an entry fee.
