The Hangers Heroes' Fleet & Feet Trail
The Hangers Heroes' Fleet & Feet Trail takes place in the Dorset countryside, starting and finishing at Bagwell Farm Touring Park in Chickerell, Weymouth. The event offers several distances across undulating, almost exclusively off-road terrain. Participants navigate a network of national trails and bridlepaths, including sections along The Fleet Lagoon.
Available distances and formats include:
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Marathon Relay (teams of up to 4)
Participants can choose to either run or walk the courses. A designated canicross category is also available for those wishing to participate with dogs. While the routes are signposted and marshaled, some degree of self-navigation may be required, and use of OS Map #15 (Purbeck and South Dorset) is recommended.
The event serves as a fundraiser for small local charities and non-profit organizations. It is located on the B3157 Jurassic Coast Road, with the event base situated in the "rally fields" section of the touring park.
