The Greenway Challenge 2026
The Greenway Challenge takes place on 10 May 2026 in Letchworth Garden City, starting and finishing at Standalone Farm, Wilbury Road, SG6 4JN. It is a self-guided run around the Garden City Greenway. The course is approximately 13 miles and is run in a clockwise direction. This event is a run rather than a race because of road crossings.
Entry, rules and facilities
The event is held under UK Athletics rules and has a minimum age of 17. Participants are responsible for following the provided route; a map, written instructions and a GPX file are supplied. Marshals will be present at road crossings but will not stop traffic, and participants are responsible for their own safety. There is a time limit of 3 hours, after which marshals will stand down. All finishers will receive a wooden medal. Refreshments and cake are provided at the finish. Entry fee is £20 until 31 December 2025 and £22 from 1 January 2026; a £2 discount applies for members of clubs affiliated to their national association.
