The Great Train Race - Devonport
The Great Train Race is a family-oriented running and walking event held on 24 May 2026 at the Don River Railway in Don, Tasmania. The event is organised by Everyday Lions and is based along the Devonport walking track and the Don River corridor to Coles Beach and back.
Participants, including both runners and walkers, go head-to-head against the Don River Railway steam train. The course follows the walking track through the Don Reserve, and the train travels along the same corridor so participants can hear and observe it during the event. The route includes entertainment and activities along the way.

Entry fees vary by distance and by registration date, with lower rates listed through 13 April 2026 and higher rates from 14 April 2026. Registration closes on 24 May 2026.
