About the race
The CD Joinery Bluff 2 Boat Ramp Fun Run & Walk is a community running and walking event held at the Waterfront Parklands Haines Park on Best Street in Devonport, TAS. The race starts and finishes under the Elevated Walkway in the city centre and uses a World Athletics certified road course that passes through the New Living City area.
Distances offered:
- 10 km (World Athletics certified)
- 5 km (out-and-back)
- 1.5 km (out-and-back)
- Kids 500 m (for children 8 years and under; not officially timed)
There are dedicated entries for under-16 participants in the 5 km and 10 km distances and a free guardian wristband option for adults running with children in the kids event. The event organiser also offers a free group training program held weekly on Wednesdays from January 7 until event day for 5 km and 10 km entrants. Early bird and standard pricing tiers are listed for each distance, and some entries include combined group training and race entry options. Sponsors include CD Joinery, Devonport Council, Events Tasmania, and a range of local organisations. The event aims to attract a large field of runners and walkers in a family-friendly setting.
