The Great Rat Race 2026
The Great Rat Race is the Cheese Festival annual road race in Watonga, Oklahoma. The event is based at Bixler Hall, 111 West Main Street, Watonga, OK 73772. The course is described as a flat road race with the starting line in front of the Noble House on Noble Street and the finish line just south of the Noble House. The route is marked with white arrows and volunteers will staff checkpoints to help guide runners in some areas.
Registration and packet pickup are located at Bixler Hall, the building west of Watonga Lanes. Onsite payment by cash or check is accepted. Entry fees are listed as $30 prior to the event and $35 on the day of the event. T shirts are provided to adult runners with paid registration while supplies last and are limited to the first 75 adult runners. The 1 mile fun run is free for children but requires accompaniment by a paid adult.
