The Great Pumpkin Race
The Great Pumpkin Race takes place at Cutler Park in Visalia, California. The event utilizes the local scenery of the park and the St. Johns River Trail. Participants can choose from multiple distance options designed for different age groups and preferences.
The available distances include:
- 10K (6.2 Miles) Run/Walk
- 5K (3.1 Miles) Run/Walk
- Kids Race (1/4 Mile or 1/2 Mile) for ages 1 to 12
The event features several amenities for registered participants. Runners receive Long Sleeve Sports-Tek race shirts, which are available in gender-specific and youth sizes. Every participant who completes their distance receives a finisher's medal, including those in the kids' categories. Age group awards and overall winner awards are also presented.
The course is supported by aid stations and features DJ music both along the route and at the finish venue. Post-race activities include the serving of pumpkin pie. Through a partnership with Vossler Farms, all children under 12 receive a free pumpkin, and participants gain free entry to the Vossler Farms Pumpkin Patch on the day of the event.
