The Great Escape Triathlon
The Great Escape Triathlon takes place in Jefferson City, Missouri on June 13 and 14, 2026. The event is the tenth edition and is held at Ellis Porter Riverside Park, 320 Riverside Dr. It includes multiple race formats for adults and youth.
Swimming is conducted as a snake swim in the four lane, 50 meter pool at Ellis Porter Riverside Park. The bike course follows city and rural roads to the outskirts of the new Missouri State Prison and returns. The run route goes to the old historic Missouri State Penitentiary and back to the finish line.
The weekend program includes triathlon, relay and duathlon options and separate youth events. Age categories for the main Great Escape events begin at 13 and up. The Mini Escape offers a triathlon for ages 5 to 12.

- Super Sprint: 6.92 Miles
- Sprint: 15.4 Miles
- Sprint Relay: 15.4 Miles
- Duathlon: 15.15 Miles
- Mini Escape Tri Kids: 1.775K
- Mini Escape Tri Youth: 8.15K
