Great Chalfield 10K
The Great Chalfield event is a 10K road race that starts and finishes at Broughton Gifford Village Hall, Broughton Gifford, Wiltshire SN12 8PN. The course leads past Holt Manor and Great Chalfield House. The race is measured to UKA standards and supports the Broughton Gifford and Holt Scout Group.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and in veteran categories V40, V50, V60 and V70 for both male and female runners. A medal is provided to all finishers.
On site facilities include toilets, one water station, first aid cover and event insurance. Parking is provided on The Common near the village hall; organisers ask for courteous parking and consideration for locals. A GPX route file is available for the course.
Restrictions and entry details note that entrants must be aged 16 or over on race day, dogs are not permitted and the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Headphones and bone conduction headphones are not permitted. Roads on the course will not be closed. Entry is limited to 200 places and entries close on 20 June 2026 or earlier if the limit is reached; there are no entries on the day. Registration takes place at Broughton Gifford Village Hall where race numbers are collected and must be worn visibly on the front of the runner's top.
