About the race
The GRATITUDE Run 2026 is a fundraising running and walking event organised by Distance For Difference at Dornier Wines in Stellenbosch on Heritage Day, 24 September 2026. Proceeds after direct costs will be distributed to a range of child-focused charities supported by D4D.
The event offers four participation formats:
- 5 km Fun Run / Walk, open to all ages (under 12 must run with an adult)
- 10 km Trail Run, minimum age 14
- 21.1 km Trail Run (two loops of the 10 km route), minimum age 14
- Team Relay 3 x 4 x 5, teams of 3 to 5 runners, 3 km laps in a four hour window
Published entry fees include R135 (adult) and R75 (U12) for the 5 km, R220 for the 10 km, R260 for the 21.1 km, and R850 per team for the relay. On-the-day entries are available if not sold out and cost slightly more; team relay entries are not available on the day.
Race number collection details will be confirmed before the event; numbers may be collected on the morning of the event from 06h00 if applicable. The event provides water tables on the trail routes, medals and prizes for top finishers, merchandise and food stalls. Parking at the venue is limited.
