The Governor's Cup Road Race
Established in 1973, The Governor's Cup is held in Columbia, South Carolina, on the weekend of April 9 to 10, 2027. The event program is organized by runners and includes multiple road races that take place on Main Street and surrounding city streets.
The program includes the following races:
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, registration fee $25.00
- 5K - 3.1 miles, registration fee $25.00
- Kids' Main Street Mile - 1 mile, free entry for eligible children
- Half Marathon plus 1 Mile combo - 1 mile combo option, fee $74.00
- 5K plus 1 Mile combo - 1 mile combo option, fee $40.00
The Kids' Main Street Mile is open to Midlands children age 14 and under and follows a Main Street course through the heart of the city. Combo entries pair a main race with the 1 Mile and include one race shirt at packet pick-up.
