The Freedom 5K

The Freedom 5K is an annual Picktown Palooza event held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Victory Park on Lockville Road in Pickerington, Ohio. The event is presented as a family friendly run to celebrate the birth of the nation and is sponsored by OrthoNeuro.

The course is a 5k that begins at Victory Park and follows the bike path through Sycamore Creek Park. The route continues down Hereford Drive, turns onto Pickering Drive, then turns around and returns along the same roads to Victory Park. The distance is 3.1 miles.

Awards are given to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers. Additional awards are presented to the top male and top female in each age category: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and up.

Included with registration are a race T shirt and a three day admission pass to Picktown Palooza if registered by June 15 to guarantee those items, a Freedom 5K dog tag, and chip timing with live results. Parking is located at Victory Park, 100 Lockville Road, Pickerington, OH. A fundraising goal of $2,500 is noted for Picktown Palooza with no funds reported as raised.
