The Freedom 5K

The Freedom 5K is an annual 5k run held on July 11, 2026 in Pickerington, Ohio as part of the Picktown Palooza festival. The event is sponsored by OrthoNeuro and has an associated fundraising goal of $2,500 for Picktown Palooza.

The course begins at Victory Park and follows the bike path through Sycamore Creek Park. Runners continue down Hereford Drive, turn onto Pickering Drive, complete a turnaround, and repeat the route back to Victory Park for a total distance of 3.1 miles.

Awards are presented to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers. Additional awards are given to the top male and top female in each age group: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and up.

Registered participants receive a race T shirt and a 3 day admission pass to Picktown Palooza when registered by June 15, a Freedom 5K dog tag, and chip timing with live results.
