The Freedom 5K
The Freedom 5K is part of the annual Picktown Palooza festival and is presented as a family friendly event to celebrate the birth of the nation. The 5k course begins at Victory Park in Pickerington, Ohio, follows the bike path through Sycamore Creek Park, continues down Hereford Drive to Pickering Drive, then turns around and returns to Victory Park. The distance is 5k (3.1 miles).
Registration includes a race T shirt and a 3 day admission pass to Picktown Palooza when registered by June 15, a Freedom 5K dog tag, and chip timing with live results. Awards are given to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers, plus top male and top female finishers in age categories: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and up. Parking is located at Victory Park, 100 Lockville Road, Pickerington, OH 43147.
