Event Overview
The Ford Foundation Rabbit Run is a running event on Saturday, April 4, 2026. It is hosted at Southern Prohibition Brewery in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The event features two races: a 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run. The courses go through the streets of Downtown Hattiesburg and finish at the brewery.
Activities and Features
A new feature for the 1 Mile Fun Run is a special egg hunt along the course for children. The event is a fundraiser. All proceeds go to The Build Better Scholarship, a partnership with Pearl River Community College that provides tuition relief for single parents and individuals raised in single-parent households.
A post-race celebration at the brewery includes awards and live music. Participants aged 21 and over receive a free beer.
Registration and Logistics
- Same-day registration is available for both races.
- Race t-shirts are not guaranteed for participants who register after March 20, 2026.
- Packet pickup is available on Friday, April 3, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at 670 Weathersby Rd., Suite 140. Race day packet pickup begins at 8:00 AM at Southern Prohibition Brewery.
Awards
Awards are given for the 5K race. Categories include Overall Male and Female winners, and the top three finishers in each age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
