Event Overview
The Firecracker 5000 is an Independence Day athletic event held in West Mansfield, Ohio. Hosted by the West Mansfield Conservation Club, the event serves as the opening activity for a full day of July 4th celebrations. The competition features a single distance for participants:

The course starts and finishes at the West Mansfield Conservation Club located at 701 S. Main Street. The route is described as flat and takes participants along South Main Street through West Mansfield, moving onto North Main Street and Center Street before reaching a turnaround point to head back to the club.
Participant Information
Registration includes a race shirt and chip timing for real-time results. Packet pick-up is conducted exclusively on the morning of the event at the venue. A registration discount is available for youth participants aged 18 and under.
Following the movement events, an award ceremony is held to recognize the top overall male and female finishers. Awards are also presented to the top three male and female finishers in various age categories, ranging from age 10 and under to age 60 and above.
Community Activities
The event is part of a larger festival that continues throughout the day. Activities at the site and surrounding park areas include a pancake and sausage breakfast, a parade, a kids fishing clinic, and a softball tournament.
