The Endless Garden Backyard Ultra
The Endless Garden is a backyard ultra event held on Saturday, 26th September 2026 at The Waggoners, Brickwall Close, Ayot Green, Welwyn Garden City, AL6 9AA, United Kingdom. The format uses a repeating loop of 4.167-mile laps; runners start each lap on the hour and continue until only one runner remains.
Entry costs £70 per participant. Entry includes five drink vouchers redeemable for half pints, hot drinks, or soft drinks, one commemorative pint glass, and official race timing provided by RacesOnline.uk so results can be followed remotely. A route map will be provided ahead of race day.
The course follows a trail loop designed to be safe and runnable throughout the night. Spectators are welcome at all times during the event. The Waggoners pub will remain open and accessible; drinks are available at bar prices. The pub will offer a special athletes menu, called the Endless Backyard set menu, with simple options such as pizzas and snacks to support runners between loops. Loud encouragement and friendly banter are specifically mentioned as welcome from spectators.
