The Endless Garden 2.0 – event overview
The event takes place on 26 September 2026 to 27 September 2026 in Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom. The venue is The Waggoners Pub, Brickwall Close, Ayot Green. Entry fees vary by registration period: £60 (21 Dec 2025 - 1 Jan 2026), £70 (1 Jan 2026 - 31 May 2026), and £80 (1 Jun 2026 - 27 Sep 2026). Entry includes five drink vouchers (half pints, soft drinks, hot drinks), one commemorative pint glass, and official race timing. The race organiser lists that the race winner will receive "something cool. Mainly Glory."
Format, course and venue details
The event uses the Backyard Ultra format: runners complete the same loop each hour and must finish within the hour to continue. The loop is 4.167 miles (6.71 km). The race continues until one runner completes a loop alone. The course follows a mixture of road, sealed paths and trail and is designed to be safe and runnable at night. A route map will be provided ahead of race day.
Spectators may attend day and night. The Waggoners pub will remain open during the event and will offer drinks at bar prices and an athletes' set menu with pizzas and snacks. Limited personal and group marquee space is available behind the pub on a first-come-first-served basis; an adjacent field is also available for marquees and tents and spaces are unallocated.
