The Endless Garden Backyard Ultra
The Endless Garden is presented as a Backyard Ultra marathon held on Saturday 26th September 2026 at The Waggoners in Ayot Green, Welwyn Garden City. The format requires runners to complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour on the hour; laps continue until only one runner remains.
Entry costs £80 per participant. Entry includes five drink vouchers redeemable for half pints, hot drinks or soft drinks, one commemorative pint glass, and official race timing so friends and family can follow results remotely.
The course follows a trail loop designed to be safe and runnable throughout the night. A route map will be provided to participants ahead of race day. Spectators are welcome at all times during the event and the venue pub will remain open and accessible throughout.
The Waggoners will serve drinks at bar prices and will offer a special athletes menu including an "Endless Backyard" set menu with pizzas and snacks to support runners between loops.
