The Empire Strides Back Half Marathon and associated races
The event takes place on May 2, 2027, at 5000 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803, and is organized by Califlow Runs. Multiple distances are offered, including road race distances for adults and short family races for children. Same-day registration is available.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon : 13.1 Miles. Fee $50. Chip-timed. Finisher medal.
- 10K : 6.2 Miles. Fee $40. Chip-timed. Finisher medal.
- 5K : 3.1 Miles. Fee $35. Chip-timed. Finisher medal.
- 1 Miler : 1 Mile. Fee $25. This is an untimed event. Medal for finishers.
- Kids Dash : 400 Yards. Fee $18. Kids receive a kids medal only.
For the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon there is a multi-person pricing option that reduces the cost by $7 per person when two or more people register together. Registration windows differ by distance; some adult distances have earlier registration periods than the family races.
Event services and logistics include chip timing with on-site results for timed races, free race-day photos, water stations and restrooms on course, age-group and overall awards, and stroller-friendly access. Costumes are encouraged. Parking options near the venue include free street parking and lot parking at $2.00 per hour paid at a machine.
