Event overview
The Drop - Nottingham is an organised navigational running event taking place on 8 March 2026, staged by Organic Adventure Ltd from Up & Running, 6 Exchange Arcade, Nottingham. Entrants must be aged 18 or over on the event date. The event offers two distance options:
- 10 miles
- 15 miles
Entry fees listed are £45 for the 10-mile option and £50 for the 15-mile option. Distances are measured as the crow flies, and the actual route back to the event centre may be longer.
Format and rules
Participants hand over electronic devices and navigational aids at registration and receive a race number and an emergency bag. Competitors are transported to an undisclosed drop-off location wearing blackout blindfolds or an alternative safety goggle if required. From that point participants must find their own way back to the event centre without maps, GPS, compasses, routes, or outside help. Any breaking of the seal on the emergency bag results in disqualification. Only maps provided by the organisers may be used if issued.
Tracking and practical information
Live GPS tracking is available as an optional feature; trackers are accurate within about 5 metres but can be affected by tall buildings and signal black spots. Trackers should be placed in an outside pocket for best performance and must be returned at event end or a £175 replacement fee will apply. Parking is available in the town centre.
