The Driftless Half Marathon
The Driftless Half Marathon takes place in Lansing, Iowa, on the Great River Road National Scenic Byway. The course is point-to-point and includes a four-mile stretch of gravel on Red Oak Road that offers sustained views of the Mississippi River. At approximately mile 10 the route runs along the river toward the finish area near the Blackhawk Bridge. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, and the race is held annually on the second Saturday in October.
The event program includes multiple distance options and a team relay. A returning 10k+ course measures about 6.6 miles and follows the first half of the half marathon route. A family-friendly 5k takes place within Lansing city limits.
