The Donut Fun Run : Alameda Point, CA
The Donut Fun Run is a timed, donut themed 5k race held at Alameda Point's Seaplane Lagoon Promenade. The event is described as open to all ages and abilities and is organized as its fourth annual edition on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
A Finish Line Festival follows the race. The festival program includes a donut eating contest in which contestants receive a box of donuts and the first to finish wins prizes; a consent form is required for participants. Live music and entertainment are part of the festival, including performances by The Dancing Donuts from Alameda’s Dance/10 studio and a live DJ with dancing. The festival also features local food and beverage booths, vendor and craft booths, a health and wellness expo, a Maker's Expo, valet bike parking, photo opportunities, and donuts provided by Donut Petit. Beer and wine are available to attendees over 21.
The event lists community engagement elements such as volunteer and sponsor opportunities and names Girls Inc. of Island City as its nonprofit partner, an organization focused on programs for girls and gender-expansive youth that support academic achievement, leadership, and health and wellness.
