The Crusher Run - Texas Quarry 5K
The Crusher Run - Texas Quarry 5K is a road running event on May 31, 2026, held at Martin Marietta - Texas Quarry in Lutherville Timonium, MD. The event program includes a timed 5K Run, an untimed Family Fun Run, and an ASA 5K category. Combined capacity for the 5K (timed) and Family Fun Run is limited to 600 participants.
The route follows the top loop around the quarry perimeter; it stays on the outer edge and does not enter the quarry. The surface is mainly gently rolling asphalt with a short section on gravel in the stockpile yards. The timed 5K will be professionally chip timed by Racine Timing using disposable bib tags; bibs must be visible on the front of the body. Bicycles and pets are not permitted on course due to restricted spacing.
All participants receive a race t-shirt and a custom bib. Timed participants also receive a finisher medal. Awards for the timed 5K include top overall male and female and first place age group winners. Age groups begin at 12 and under and extend through 80 plus.
Post race activities listed include food trucks, rock painting, face painting, a raffle, vendor booths, and an off site after party at B.C. Brewing that offers a discount with a race bib. Parking is at 430 W. Padonia Rd with overflow at 10000 Beaver Dam Rd and shuttle service to the event entrance. The event names Construction Angels and Athletes Serving Athletes as charity partners.
