The Color Run - San Diego 2026
The Color Run is a participatory 5K event held at the Chula Vista Elite Training Center in Chula Vista, CA on October 17, 2026. The course includes multiple color zones at roughly each kilometer where participants are doused with food-grade colored powder. The event emphasizes participation and a social experience rather than competition, and it concludes with a Finish Festival that includes music, color throws, and an after-race party.
Practical event details:
- Race bibs must be attached to the front of the shirt and participants will not be allowed on the course without a bib.
- Waves are released every 2 to 5 minutes.
- There is a water station on the course and a water station at the finish line.
- Spectators are admitted free and viewing areas are available on both sides of the start/finish line.
Packet pickup and logistics:
- Packet pickup dates and instructions are emailed before the event; photo ID is required to collect a packet.
- Same-day packet pickup is available for a $5 cash fee.
- Pre-ordered merchandise must be collected by race start or at packet pickup; unclaimed items will be forfeited.
- There is no bag check; valuables should remain in vehicles or be carried by participants.
- Parking may incur a fee up to $20 cash.
