The Clongowes Run 2026
The Clongowes Run is a 5 km and 10 km event held on the grounds of Clongowes Wood College in Kildare on Saturday 28 February 2026. The course surface includes tarmac, forest track and grass, and routes run through the college grounds that have been in use since 1814.
The event is part of an ongoing fundraising campaign that began in 1993 and has raised over €2.3m for medical equipment and services supporting children’s health. Funds from this edition will support Barretstown, an organisation that works with children suffering from serious illness and their families.

Entry options and fees listed for online registration include single entries at €16, under-12 entries at €10, family 2+2 (U12) at €40, and team-of-four at €55; online booking fees are additional and registration is non-refundable. A higher-rate on-the-day registration at €20 is offered. All participants who complete the run receive a Clongowes Run medal. Prizes are awarded for 1st to 3rd male and female finishers in both 5 km and 10 km, and for 1st to 3rd U-16 male and female. Spot prizes are also given on the day. Cotton-printed Clongowes Run t-shirts will be available to buy after the event. Participants unable to attend in person may run elsewhere; organisers will send a medal and a t-shirt after the event.
