The Clongowes Run

Course and Distance
The event offers two distances: a 5 km run and a 10 km run. The course takes place on the grounds of Clongowes College. The track surface includes tarmac, forest track, and grass.
Location and Setting
The run is held at Clongowes College, a historic boarding school venue in Kildare with grounds that have been in use since 1814.
Registration and Entry
Registration is handled through the event's page. Standard entry fees apply, with a higher fee available on the event day. Registration is non-refundable.
All participants who complete the run receive a "Clongowes Run" medal. Additional medals are awarded for the top three male and female finishers in both the 5 km and 10 km races, as well as for under-16 categories. Spot prizes are also awarded. Cotton event t-shirts are available for purchase after the race.
Charity
The run is a fundraising event for Barretstown, an organization that supports children with serious illnesses and their families. The associated fundraising campaign began in 1993. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
