The CLASSIC 5K

The CLASSIC 5K is an inaugural community 5 kilometer run and walk taking place on October 24, 2026 at History Park, 1700 4th Ave North, Birmingham, AL 35203, in the Historic 4th Avenue Business District of Birmingham's Civil Rights District. The event is presented by Train & Burn Fitness Studio and hosted by The Leftover Energy Foundation Inc.

The race is open to all ages and is a timed 5K with race numbers provided. Strollers are welcomed. Organizers note an official race shirt and a finisher medal; registration by October 9, 2026 guarantees shirt size. Registration opens June 24, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026; the listed registration fee is $35.00.

The morning program includes a pre-race warm up, live music, professional timing, and sponsor perks. The Classic Community Corner will feature local organizations focused on health, education, voter registration, and financial literacy.
