The Classic 5K - Birmingham
The Classic 5K presented by Train & Burn Fitness Studio is a community road event on October 24, 2026 at History Park in Birmingham, Alabama. Hosted by The Leftover Energy Foundation Inc., the event features a certified, flat, out and back 5K course (USATF Certified AL26039JE) through the Civil Rights District, the Historic 4th Avenue Business District, Fountain Heights Community, and the Historic Smithfield Community.
The morning includes a pre race warm up, live music, professional chip timing, sponsor perks, and an official race shirt for every registered participant. The Classic Community Corner brings local organizations focused on health, education, voter registration, and financial literacy. A portion of proceeds will fund scholarships for students attending Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University via the event nonprofit partner.
Registration fees change by date: $35 through September 30, 2026; $40 beginning October 1, 2026; and $45 on race day. To guarantee a race shirt size, registration should be completed by October 9, 2026. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race and race day packet pickup is available at History Park.
