The Clarksburg Pepperoni Roll 5K
The event takes place on October 3, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Park in Clarksburg, WV, with the Freedom Shelter as the race venue. Proceeds support The Clarksburg Children’s House Montessori School, a local nonprofit.
The main distance is 5K (3.1 miles) offered as both a live race and a virtual race. Event fees listed by the organizer are $35.00 for the live 5K and $35.00 for the virtual 5K. A separate Kid’s Mini Pepperoni Roll Fun Run is open to children 12 and under with a listed registration fee of $5.00. Registration for the live 5K and the Kid’s Mini Fun Run opens July 20 and closes October 1 according to the event information; virtual race registration opens July 20 and closes October 3.
Runners who register by September 14 will receive a race T shirt and a commemorative race medal handmade by a local pottery studio. Registrants after September 14 are not guaranteed a shirt or medal; a small number of extras may be available while supplies last. Virtual racers registered by September 14 will receive a shirt by mail at no additional cost; medals for virtual racers will not be shipped this year though local pickup may be possible.
The live 5K route starts in front of the Freedom Shelter, follows the park trail to the right for two full loops, and returns to the finish in front of the Freedom Shelter. The Kid’s Mini Fun Run is a short straight course across the front of the Freedom Shelter in a blocked area of the parking lot and has no chip timing. The organizer is working with a timing company for the main 5K and local vendors and bakeries will offer food for sale at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
