Cider Winders 5K
The Cider Winders 5K is organized by Forest Gumpers Trail Race Series together with 1818 Farm & Cidery and the Rotary Club of West Ottawa. The event takes place in mid July on July 22, 2026, and uses a course certified by Athletics Canada.
Proceeds support the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre, a non profit agency that provides live in and community based programs for youth aged 13 to 21. The Rotary Club of West Ottawa will match pledges made through the registration page up to $2,500.
Every registrant receives a commemorative Cider Winders glass. Souvenir t shirts are available to order or purchase at registration. Monetary prizes are offered to the top three female and top three male finishers with awards of $150 for first place $100 for second and $50 for third.
Post race refreshments include cider and a sandwich served at the race site. Draw prizes are offered courtesy of Bushtukah and entrants are eligible for a custom t shirt quilt. The event limits participation to a maximum of 150 people and lists a registration fee of $50 with a youth rate of $25 for those 18 and under.
