The Cider Run at Slabtown Cider Co., Uxbridge Ontario
The Cider Run is a trail event organized by Green Newton Adventures on September 18, 2027 at Slabtown Cider Co. The course uses private trails on Woodnewton Farm across the Oak Ridges Moraine and runs through rolling hardwood forest and singletrack with rooty technical sections and notable elevation changes. Maps are released shortly before the event because the route travels on private property.

- 40K Bushel five loops on technical terrain
- 16K Peck two loops with sustained climbing
- 8K Apple one loop flowing singletrack
- 3.5K Kids' Timed a shorter competitive trail route
- 1K Kids' Fun Run untimed charity fun run
- 3.5K Sauce Hike hike with trail support contributions
After the finish the venue offers locally prepared food and handcrafted cider at Slabtown Cider Co. Event features include portable washrooms at the start finish area, on site parking with limited spaces, and a cup free policy that asks participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle. The Kids 1K donates 100% of registrations to Jumpstart and 50% of Sauce Hike fees support Woodnewton trail restoration; registrations also support the Green Durham Association.
The event prohibits dogs, headphones, baby strollers, and Nordic walking poles on course. Awards are presented to the top three female male and non binary finishers in each age category and overall and must be collected at the race. No refunds or transfers are permitted.
