The Cider Run

The Cider Run, presented by Green Newton Adventures, takes place on September 19, 2026 at Woodnewton Farms and Slabtown Cider Co. in Uxbridge, Ontario. The event uses private trails on the Oak Ridges Moraine featuring mixed forest, gritty hills and gently rolling recovery sections. Routes and maps will be published shortly before race day and may change based on trail conditions.

The program includes a range of running distances, a hike, and kids events. Fundraising features include 100% of the 1 km kids event donated to Jumpstart and 50% of the Sauce Hike entry fee directed to the Woodnewton Farm Trail Restoration fund. Slabtown Cider Co. will be open to provide post event food, with limited capacity.

On-site logistics and rules: parking is available at the venue but limited, washrooms and outhouses are located near the start and finish area, and the event operates a proudly cup free policy so participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. The course prohibits dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, and nordic walking poles. Awards are given to the top three female, male and non-binary finishers in each age category and to the top three overall finishers; awards must be picked up at the race. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
