About the race
The Cider Run is a trail event organized by Green Newton Adventures on September 19, 2026 at Slabtown Cider Co., located on the Woodnewton Farm property near Uxbridge, Ontario. The event uses private trails across the Oak Ridges Moraine featuring rolling hardwood forest, winding singletrack, rooty technical sections, punchy climbs, and flowing descents. Course maps will be published shortly before race day because the route travels on private property.
Distances offered:
- 40K Bushel Five loops on the Woodnewton Farm trail network
- 16K Peck Two loops of the main course
- 8K Apple One loop of flowing singletrack and rolling hills
- 3.5K Kids' Timed A challenging short trail race for young runners
- 1K Kids' Fun Run A free charity fun run supporting Jumpstart
- 3.5K Sauce Hike A hike with 50% of fees supporting trail restoration
Post-race amenities include locally prepared food and handcrafted Slabtown cider at Slabtown Cider Co. Event operations emphasize low environmental impact: the event is cup free, encourages carpooling, and allocates portions of certain entry fees to local trail stewardship and charities. Parking is available on site but limited. Portable washrooms are provided near the start and finish. The event lists prohibited items for course safety, specifies that awards must be collected at the race, and states that entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
