Cheltenham Tri Festival 2026
The Cheltenham Tri Festival is a multi-distance triathlon held at Cheltenham Lido on Sunday 13 September. The swim takes place in the Cheltenham Lido 50 metre outdoor pool. The bike and run routes follow roads around Cheltenham and through Sandford Park, and both run and cycle routes are run anti-clockwise.
The event is open to a wide range of competitors, including novices, club and professional triathletes, charity participants and fun competitors. Entrants must be aged 17 or over. Participants are required to hold a British Triathlon race licence by becoming an annual Core or Ultimate member or by purchasing a single-use Race Pass; a Race Pass costs £2 for those under 24 and £8 for those aged 24 and above.
The festival is managed by Cheltenham Lido Ltd and supports Sue Ryder as the headline charity. Cheltenham Lido is a registered charity (#1052203) and Sue Ryder is a registered charity (#1052076). The event is sponsored by Thomson & Bancks Solicitors. T-shirt orders close on 31 July 2026; entries after that date receive a discounted ticket and will not receive a T-shirt.
