The 2026 Chase Away 5K
The 2026 Chase Away 5K is a fundraising event at Veterans Memorial Park, 1000 Dorset Street, South Burlington, VT 05403, USA. The event offers an in-person run and walk and a virtual 5K option. All registration fees are donations to Chase Away K9 Cancer, and 100% of donations fund awareness and research for canine cancer.
Event options include an in-person 3.1 mile run and a 1.5 mile walk. A virtual 3.1 mile run is also offered for participants who choose their own date and location.
Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome for the in-person run and walk. Race packets, bibs, and purchased event tees will be distributed to registrants before the event; local pickup is available at Houndstooth (126 College Street, Burlington) and shipping is offered for nonlocal participants. Registrants who order a tee by August 22 will have their dog’s name included on the back; additional shirts may be available after the event.
Registration opens May 3, 2026. In-person registration closes September 25, 2026; the virtual registration option closes September 26, 2026. The stated registration fee for listed entries is $25.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
