The Canyon Climb 8K/5K/1 Mile Fun Run takes place on March 28, 2026 in Anniston, Alabama (731 Leighton Ave., 36207). The event offers three distances and is the second race in the Anniston Runners Club Fab Four Series. Entry fees listed for the main events include $35 for the 8K and 5K and $5 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. Prices for the 8K and 5K increase after February 13, 2026. Race day registration is $45. Course, awards and rules
The Robert Smith 8K is USATF certified. The 2026 5K is described as a new, less hilly option. Both the 5K and 1 Mile course maps were noted as forthcoming. All races start from the Tyler Center and finish back at the Tyler Center, with routes that run through the hills of Anniston.
Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Age-group awards (10-year increments) will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the 8K and 5K. The 1 Mile Fun Run will have top three male and female awards only. A $50 reward is available for anyone who breaks a male or female course record in the certified 8K; if declined, the amount will be donated to a charity or school athletic program.
