The C2C Essex Ultra
The c2c Essex Ultra is a one-day ultramarathon event held along the Essex Riviera, offering participants the choice of 30 or 50 miles. The 50-mile route starts at Upminster Station, while the 30-mile route begins at Lansdowne Primary School in Tilbury, with both finishing at Thorpe Bay Station. The course follows the Thames eastward, incorporating the London Loop and England Coast National Trails, featuring mainly tarmac and some hard trails through urban areas, marshlands, and riverbanks with scenic views.
The event supports the children's cancer charity Gold Geese, providing aid stations, medical cover, and a vibrant atmosphere with prizes, refreshments, and free travel on c2c trains for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
