The Buckie 10k
The Buckie 10 km is scheduled for 6 September 2026 in Buckie, Scotland. The event is chip timed and Scottish Athletics approved. A bespoke chunky medal is provided for every finisher and total places were 220; entries are now closed.
The course is all on road but is not a closed road race. A large section runs on the Moray Coastal cycle route path. The route starts outside The Fishermans Hall, Buckie, passes through the town centre and out towards Findochty, then returns on the coastal cycle path to finish back at The Fishermans Hall.
On-course provision includes an aid station with water at 5 km and lively music along the route. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers on gun time, followed by first place in each age category. The event operates a 1 hour 45 minute cut-off; marshals are withdrawn around cut-off times and there will be no support on course after the cut-off.
Race conditions set by Scottish Athletics include a minimum age of 16 on race day, the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, running with buggies or pets is not permitted, and headphones must be bone conducting. Registration and bib collection take place at The Fishermans Hall, Buckie AB56 1HT. Changing facilities and toilets are available at the hall and a bag drop is provided with no liability accepted for belongings. Basic free refreshments are offered at the finish and nearby there are coffee vendors, water and local shops and cafes. Parking is limited and car sharing is requested. No bib transfers, deferrals or refunds unless the race is cancelled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
