The Buckie 10k
The Buckie 10k is a Scottish Athletics approved road race held on 06 September 2026. The course is all on road but is not a closed road race; a large section uses the Moray Coastal cycle route. The route starts outside The Fisherman's Hall in Buckie, passes through the town centre towards Findochty, then returns on the coastal cycle path to finish back at The Fisherman's Hall.
The event is chip timed and provides a bespoke chunky medal for every finisher. There is an aid station with water at 5 km and lively music along the route. Basic free refreshments are available at the finish. The finish area is close to a coffee vendor, water, shops and cafes. Changing facilities and toilets are available at the hall, and bag drop is accepted with no liability for belongings.
Parking is limited in the town and car sharing is recommended; participants are asked to park respectfully. The organiser has a Scottish Athletics permit with conditions: runners must be over 16 on race day; the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs; buggies and pets are not permitted; headphones must be bone conducting; and a 1 hour 45 minute cut off applies, after which marshals and support are withdrawn. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers based on gun time, with further age category awards. Entry fees are listed as £23 to £25 with discounted rates for Scottish Athletics members. Total places are 220 and the event status is open.
