About the race
The Bridge Triathlon at the Bridge Development by Dartford Bridge is a small, low key multisport event limited to 100 competitors. The course uses a multi-lap layout for swim, bike and run to create spectator friendly sections around the site near Lake View House, Rennie Drive, Dartford DA1 5FU. Parking is in the Crosswaters car park, about 300 m from registration; toilets are approximately 150 m away by the security office and the toilet key is held at registration.
Event details include transition and safety procedures consistent with triathlon rules: helmets must be fastened before moving a bike and remain fastened until the bike is returned to its place; competitors must mount and dismount only in the designated zones; drafting is prohibited with a 12 metre draft zone and time allowances for passing; competitors must follow the rules of the road and any marshal or police instructions. Competitors receive two race numbers, one to wear and one for the bike. Marshals are present and can summon medical support; a risk assessment will be displayed near registration. The event is run under British Triathlon Federation rules. Chip timing will be used only if the event reaches the 100 participant limit, otherwise finish times only will be provided.
