The Bridge Triathlon : Dartford, 5 July 2026
The Bridge Triathlon takes place on 5 July 2026 at the Bridge lakes venue in Dartford. The Standard distance race is part of the London Series and entry capacity for that race will be increased to 400 places for 2026. The organiser notes a small entry price increase for 2026; this is the second increase in 17 years and the organiser states entries remain lower than many comparable races. A Sprint Triathlon will also be held on 6 September 2026 following a successful test event.
Race formats and distances include:
- Standard Distance: 1500 m swim, 42 km bike, 10 km run
- Relay: 1500 m swim, 42 km bike, 10 km run
- Sprint Distance: 750 m swim, 21 km bike, 5 km run
- GO TRI Distance: 300 m swim, 14 km bike, 3.8 km run
- Aqua Bike options: 1500 m swim with 42 km bike, and 750 m swim with 21 km bike
Some course details from recent race briefs are retained, for example the Standard swim is two laps and the run is two 5 km laps around both lakes. Registration is organised by the container and the finish is located left of the transition area. Car parking is free and is a short stroll to registration and the start.
Non British Triathlon Federation members must obtain a day licence from British Triathlon, as name and address details are required. If parts of the course are unusable the race may be run as an alternative event: loss of road could lead to an Aquathon and loss of lake could lead to a Duathlon. If the race is cancelled for bad weather a 50 percent refund will be issued. Swimming in the lakes is forbidden except during authorised events or open water sessions.
