The Bootleg Boogie
The Bootleg Boogie takes place in Boulder City, NV at Bootleg Canyon and uses a centralized start/finish area near 1000 Yucca St. The event offers the following distances:
- 100 miles
- 50 miles
- Half Marathon
The course is a 12.5 mile loop with approximately 1,875 feet of climbing and descent per lap. Terrain is steadily rolling with no extraordinarily long climbs or reckless descents, promoting consistent pacing over time. Total elevation gain by distance is approximately 15,000 feet for the 100 mile (8 loops), 7,500 feet for the 50 mile (4 loops), and 1,875 feet for the Half Marathon.
Each loop includes three aid station locations: Start/Finish (HQ) at mile 0 and 12.5, Caldera at mile 6.9, and Veterans at mile 10.8. All aid stations offer the same food and hydration options including sandwiches, fruit, snacks, chips, cookies, candies, water, electrolyte drink mix, and electrolyte tablets. Hot food is available after sundown. NSAIDs will not be provided. Drop bags are available at Caldera and HQ.
Pacers are allowed after mile 37.5 for the 50 and 100 mile races. Crews are allowed at HQ only, where parking and base camp camping are provided on a first come basis.
A guaranteed base purse of $5,000 is offered for the 100 mile distance; the purse increases with additional 100 mile registrants. The 100 mile cutoff is 30 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
