The Binfield 10k Road Race
The Binfield 10k Road Race is an annual community event set in the village of Binfield, located in the heart of Berkshire. The race features a certified 10 km course that takes participants through the local village and surrounding rural lanes.
The route consists primarily of paved surfaces and includes sections of closed roads. The terrain is undulating, featuring several hills, including a notable ascent at the 7 km mark and an uphill finish as runners return to the village. The course is supported by numerous marshals, and official water stations are positioned at various intervals along the route.
The event hub is located at Foxley Fields on Benetfeld Road. Facilities at the site include a baggage drop managed by local scouts, a dedicated warm-up area, and post-race amenities such as food stalls. Participants who complete the course receive a metal finisher medal. The race is open to entrants aged 16 and over.
The event is organized with the support of the Binfield Parish Council and various local youth organizations. Proceeds from the race are used to support local causes and community events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
