The Big Run presented by Brooks
The Big Run presented by Brooks is a community 5K organized by Fleet Feet to coincide with Global Running Day and to mark five decades of running. The event is held in Hoover at Veterans Park (Spain Park High School), 4800 Valleydale Road, Hoover, AL 35242, USA, on June 3, 2026.
The 5K uses the Spain Park cross country course and is chip timed. All finishers receive an exclusive Big Run 5K race medal. The top three finishers in each age group receive awards provided by Fleet Feet Birmingham and Brooks. A limited number of race shirts will be available for sale on a first come, first serve basis. Proceeds from the 2026 Big Run 5K benefit the Birmingham chapter of Girls on the Run.
Packet pickup is scheduled as follows: Tuesday, June 2 from 10:00 to 19:00 at Fleet Feet Birmingham; Wednesday, June 3 from 10:00 to 14:00 at Fleet Feet Birmingham; and Wednesday, June 3 from 17:00 to 17:45 at Veterans Park (Spain Park). The event includes an after party with Kona Ice, a live DJ, and health vendors on site. Registration opens March 29, 2026 and closes June 3, 2026; the registration fee is $25.00.
