The Big Hoopla 4 Miler is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. The event is hosted at Wright State University with the Student Union listed as the race place and the start and finish location. The course is a 4-mile route that tours Wright State's campus. The race is held on Selection Sunday during the NCAA First Four activities.

Logistics and awards

Entry fee is listed as $30; the price increases after January 4, 2026. All participants receive a tech t-shirt and a custom finisher medal (a new design is planned for 2026). Packet pickup is available at Up and Running in Centerville on Saturday, March 14 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and at the Wright State Student Union on race day starting at 8:00 am. A course map is available through MapMyRun.

Prizes are awarded to top finishers. Cash and tickets to the First Four are given to the top three overall male and female finishers: 1st place receives $100 and two tickets, 2nd receives $75 and two tickets, and 3rd receives $50 and two tickets. Top three finishers in each listed age group receive two tickets to the First Four. A post-race party and post-race food are included.
