The Big Hoopla 4 Miler : Dayton, OH
The Big Hoopla 4 Miler is scheduled for March 15, 2026, at Wright State University Student Union in Dayton, Ohio. The event is a 4-mile road race that tours Wright State's campus and has its start and finish at the Student Union. The race is held on Selection Sunday during the period of the NCAA First Four and March Madness activities in Dayton.
The 2025 edition moved the Big Hoopla 4 Miler and the STEM Challenge to Wright State University; the STEM Challenge is presented as a same-day activity. All participants receive a soft tech shirt, a custom finisher medal, and post-race food. A course map is provided for the campus route.
Awards include cash and First Four tickets for the top three overall male and female finishers (1st $100 plus two tickets, 2nd $75 plus two tickets, 3rd $50 plus two tickets). Top three male and top three female finishers in each age group also receive two First Four tickets. Age groups listed include 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Packet pickup is available at Up and Running in Centerville on Saturday, March 14 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, or at the Wright State Student Union on race day starting at 8:00 am.
