Event
The Big Easter Run is the 10th annual holiday-themed fun run at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver on April 19, 2025. Distances offered include:
- 1-3 km (1 km loops)
- 5 km
- 10 km (two laps of the 5 km course for 2025)
Early bird pricing is listed as $26 for the 1-3 km kids run, $35 for the 5 km, and $37 for the 10 km. Under-18s have a maximum entry fee of $29 for the 5 km and 10 km routes. Packet pickup is available on Thursday April 17 at Kintec Broadway.
Registration includes a personalised running bib with a custom "Bunny Name", a chocolate finishers medal, a bunny ears costume item, a measured route, a water station, entertainment, and entry to the Gnubees Egg Hunt for children entered in the 1-3 km run. There is also a chance to win door prizes and event-specific awards such as best costume and best selfie.
Runners and walkers must complete their route within the event time limits: 2 hours for longer distances and 40 minutes for the 1-3 km.
Course and logistics
The course starts near the waterfront at Jericho Beach Park and follows trails and a beach-side path with a mix of gravel and trail surfaces and mild inclines. The route offers views of the North Shore and the Vancouver skyline. Leashed dogs and strollers are permitted, with strollers advised to have wheels suitable for unpaved trails. The site is accessible by local transit, bicycle, and walking paths. Parking options include EasyPark Lot 69 and metered parking on West 4th.
