The Big Easter Run is the 10th annual holiday-themed fun run held on April 19, 2025. Distances offered include:
- 1-3 km (1 km loops)
- 5 km
- 10 km (two laps of the 5 km course for 2025)
Early bird pricing starts at $26 for the 1-3 km, $35 for the 5 km and $37 for the 10 km. Under-18 entrants have a maximum fee of $29 for the 5 km and 10 km. A $9 run kit mail-out option is available. Registration includes a personalised bib with a custom "Bunny Name", a chocolate finisher's medal, a bunny ears costume item, a measured route, a water station, entertainment, entry into the Gnubees Egg Hunt for kids in the 1-3 km, and a chance to win door prizes.
Location and logistics
The event takes place at Jericho Beach Park, 3941 Point Grey Rd, Vancouver, BC. The course follows trails and a beach-side path with a mixture of gravel and trail surfaces and mild inclines, offering views of the North Shore and the Vancouver skyline. Leashed dogs and strollers are permitted; strollers should have wheels suitable for unpaved trails. Route maps are subject to change; for 2025 the 10 km is two laps of the 5 km course due to nearby pipe replacement. Runners and walkers must complete their route within two hours (40 minutes for the 1-3 km). Packet pickup is the day before the event at Kintec Broadway, 1201 W Broadway, Vancouver. The site is accessible by local transit, bike share stations (Jericho Beach and Wallace and 4th), walking, and parking options near the park.
