Event
The Big Easter Run is an annual holiday themed fun run at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver, scheduled for April 19, 2025. Distances offered include:
- 1–3 km (1 km loops)
- 5 km
- 10 km (two laps of the 5 km course for 2025)
The event includes the Gnubees Egg Hunt for children entered in the 1–3 km run. The course runs near the waterfront and along mixed gravel and trail pathways, with beach-side sections and views of the North Shore and the Vancouver skyline. Leashed dogs and strollers are permitted; strollers should have wheels suitable for unpaved trails. Runners and walkers are required to complete their route within specified cut-off times (2 hours for most distances; 40 minutes for the 1–3 km).
Practical information
Early bird pricing starts at $26 for the 1–3 km, $35 for the 5 km, and $37 for the 10 km. Group discounts and youth pricing apply: groups of four or more receive 15% off each entry, and under-18 entries for the 5 km and 10 km are capped at a maximum fee of $29. Registration includes a personalised bib with a custom "Bunny Name", a chocolate finishers medal, a bunny ears costume item, a measured route, a water station, and entertainment. Run kit mail-out is available for $9; packet pickup is available on April 17 at Kintec Broadway (1201 W Broadway, Vancouver). The event partners with KidSport BC and local businesses provide most prizes, with substitutions offered if prizes cannot be redeemed outside the region.
