The Big Deal at Great Seal
The Big Deal at Great Seal is an ultrarunning event in Chillicothe, OH on May 1, 2027, organized by RunFluent. The event uses a 20 mile loop as its primary course unit and offers multiple race distances.

The 20 mile loop is predominantly single track, about 95 percent single track and 5 percent dual track, with roughly 3100 to 3200 feet of elevation gain per loop after a recent course change. Notable features named on the course include Sugarloaf, Bald Hill, Sand Hill, Rock Garden, Lick Run, Shawnee Ridge, and Grouse Rock. Some sections will have two way traffic and the course will be marked.
Aid stations are placed five times around the loop including the start and finish area and two locations at Lick Run and Rocky Road. Aid stations will provide water, electrolytes, soda, hot food, and snacks. Crew access is allowed at the Ireland Shelter start/finish and at Lick Run only. Drop bags are limited to one per aid station, up to 15 liters, and must be labeled with name, bib number, and aid station.
Mandatory gear for 100 mile and 100k entrants must be carried at all times and includes a GPX file on a device, two headlamps or one with spare batteries, whistle, emergency foil blanket, minimum 1 liter carrying capacity for water, and a collapsible cup.
Cutoffs apply to the 100 mile distance with a 36 hour overall limit and a requirement to begin the final lap within 28 hours. Packet pickup for 100 mile and 100k entrants is mandatory on the preceding Friday evening at 50 West Brewing in Chillicothe. Awards include finish buckles and podium prizes, and a special Golden Goat award for fast finishers or top finishers by percentage. Registration closes April 30 prior to the event.
