Run Juneteenth Day 5K/10K/13.1 SAN DIEGO takes place on June 20, 2026 at Mission Point Park, Bayside Lane, San Diego, CA (2600 Bayside Ln, 92109). The event is held in connection with Juneteenth observance and frames the run as a community occasion. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half-Marathon 13.1
- Family 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual Run
The event is a smaller, wave-based group run with a cap per wave. A virtual option is available for participants who choose to run remotely.
Race format and services
Timing is optional and there are no timing chips; participants may use mobile apps or personal devices to track time and submit results via the event form. Race bibs are provided on race day. Swag items are shipped to US mailing addresses rather than picked up on site; shirts are mailed the week of the race. Options and finish items include a finisher medal, finisher towel or giveaway, a digital training pack, online results and a certificate of completion, and an invitation to local running clubs. Technical running shirts are available as an upgrade for an additional $5.
Organizers send a final update with course maps the Wednesday before the race. Late arrivals may run on arrival and coordinators remain on site after the waves. A charity initiative donates $1 for each mile logged after the race; fundraising is optional.
