About the race
Beer City Half™ San Diego takes place on March 13, 2027 at Tecolote Shores on Mission Bay in San Diego, California (1740 E Mission Bay Dr., 92109). The festival includes multiple running events, beer tasting options, and an afternoon meetup at a local brewery.

- Beer Stroll - 1 Mile
- Beat the Beast Beer Mile - 1 Mile
- Beer Tasting Only and Shindig at Seek Brewing Company are non-run options
Most race entries include a Beer City race t-shirt, a tasting glass, and The Key to Beer City medal. Runners receive a 7-ounce tasting cup with unlimited tasting at the finish for events that include tasting. The Beer Tasting Only ticket also provides unlimited tasting separate from the runs.
Course notes and event rules are specific to each event. The Half Marathon loops Fiesta Island twice and then runs along the water and Bayfront. The 10k and 5k go along the water and Bayfront or waterfront. The Beer Stroll is a non-timed, one-mile course. The Beat the Beast Beer Mile requires drinking four 12-ounce beers with a 1/4 mile run between each drink, does not allow shotgunning, and eliminates participants who fail to complete the sequence. The Shindig at Seek Brewing Company includes the first beer and a Beer City pin and takes place at 3052 El Cajon Blvd, Suite C, San Diego, CA 92104.
