Hungry Dog Dash 2027
Hungry Dog Dash is the 14th annual 5K community race and fundraiser for the Point Loma High School PA Cross Country Team, held on February 7, 2027 at NTC Park in Liberty Station, 2455 Cushing Rd., San Diego 92106. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned, laid out in a flat, waterfront loop that passes the USS Recruit.
The event features two starting corrals: Corral One for serious runners and Corral Two for joggers, walkers, children and dogs. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate. Leashed dogs may run with a registered participant at no additional cost. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted; skates, skateboards and bicycles are prohibited.
Registration includes a Hungry Dog Dash t-shirt, a swag bag with sponsor giveaways and a dog tag. Finish line activities include live music, a community vendor village and awards for the top three finishers in each division as well as top male and top female runners.
All proceeds benefit the PLHS PA-XC Boosters to support the cross country team. Funds raised are applied to travel expenses, race registration fees, uniforms and equipment.
