Hungry Dog Dash 2027

Hungry Dog Dash is the 14th annual community 5K run and fundraiser for the Point Loma High School PA Cross Country Team. The event is held at NTC Park in Liberty Station, 2455 Cushing Rd., San Diego. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned and follows a flat waterfront route that loops past the USS Recruit.

The event uses two starting corrals: Corral One for serious runners and Corral Two for joggers, walkers, children and leashed dogs. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. Leashed dogs may run with a registered participant at no additional cost. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted; skates, skateboards and bikes are prohibited. A Pointer mascot is scheduled to be on site.

Registration includes a Hungry Dog Dash t-shirt, a swag bag with sponsor giveaways and a dog tag. Finish line activities include live music, awards for the top three finishers in each division, awards for top male and female runners and a community vendor village. All proceeds benefit the PLHSPA Cross Country Team and are intended to help cover travel expenses, registration fees, uniforms and equipment for the team.
