MLK Jr. Freedom Run - Phoenix, January 16, 2027
The MLK Jr. Freedom Run is scheduled for January 16, 2027 at G.R. Herberger Park on East Indian School Road in Phoenix, Arizona. The event offers in-person distance options and a virtual option that includes a digital training pack.

The event uses wave starts with caps per wave and closes waves when they fill. Timing is optional; no timing chips are used. Participants may track time with apps and submit results for online posting, or request coordinator assistance for timekeeping. Race bibs are provided on race day. Swag is shipped to the registrant’s US mailing address; shirts are sent the week of the race. The standard swag package includes a running T-shirt, a finisher’s towel or giveaway, a finisher’s medal, a digital training pack, and an online certificate of completion. A technical running shirt upgrade is available for an additional $5.
Packet pickup is not required. Late registrations are accepted briefly before the event, though mailed shirts may arrive after the race. Organizers state coordinators remain on site for three hours after the first wave.
