MLK Jr. Freedom Run Phoenix
The event takes place at G.R. Herberger Park on East Indian School Road in Phoenix on January 16, 2027. It offers on-site and virtual participation options and includes a family one mile fun run.

The in-person format uses capped waves to limit group size; waves are filled on a first come, first served basis. Timing is optional and participants may submit app or coordinator-recorded times for online posting; timing chips are not used. Race bibs are provided on race day. There is no packet pickup; participant shirts and selected swag are shipped to the US mailing address provided at registration. Technical running shirt upgrades are available for an additional fee.
Finishers receive a medal, a finisher towel or giveaway, a running shirt, and a digital training pack. Online results and a certificate of completion are available. The event includes invitations to local running clubs and an optional charity component that donates $1 for each post-race mile logged to partner charities.
