Event Overview
The Run for Mental Health takes place at Wiggins Waterfront Park in Camden, New Jersey. This event is organized as a small, private group run with a specific participant cap for each wave. It is open to participants of all ages and paces, with those under 18 requiring a guardian.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 13.1 miles (Half-Marathon)
- Virtual Run
Participation and Timing
The event is designed as a low-stress run without the use of timing chips. However, timing is optional; runners can track their own progress using various mobile applications or request assistance from on-site coordinators to record their results, which are later posted online.
Registration includes a swag bag containing a running shirt, a finisher's medal, and a towel or other giveaway item. For convenience, the organizers ship the running shirts directly to the participant's provided US mailing address. Race bibs are distributed on the day of the event, eliminating the need for a separate packet pickup session before the race.
Additional Features
The event follows a wave-based start system to manage group sizes. For those opting for the virtual run, a digital training pack is provided, and medals are sent upon completion of the activity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
