The Best 5K on the Brazos
The Best 5K on the Brazos takes place on May 16, 2026, at Indian Spring Park in Waco, TX 76708. The course runs along the Brazos River and is described as flat and scenic. The event is organized by The Best 5K on the Brazos.
This race is the target race for the Waco Women's Training Program and will be the first 5K race for many program participants. All athletes must wear a race bib to run.
Awards include medals for the overall top male and female and for the first three male and female finishers in five-year age categories from 14 and under through 65 and over. Dogs are not allowed on the course for insurance and safety reasons.
All registered runners receive a T-shirt. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrants who sign up by May 4, 2026; after that date sizes are available on a first come first served basis while supplies last. Packet pick-up is available at Waco Running Company, 700 Franklin Ave., Waco, TX, on the day before the race and at Indian Spring Park on race day. A course map is provided by the organizer.
